short throw, but not a cheap sh!tty one. If you have the money its a good upgrade, even if you never take it to the track. Just search for short shifter and you'll see there are a lot of threads about them.

You should really play with google. "what does a short shifter do" I say this because you do make some horrible unthought-out out threads. Benefits do exist.

I love my sloppy stock shifter. It's easier to not have to search for gears while drifting.

With drag racing, you might benefit from a shorter throw. I think drifting is the opposite.

You know you can say everything you want in one post...as well as edit your one post if you think of something else to say.

i love my short shifter....its not hard to find gears once u know where they are...for drifting its not gonna make such a big difference...if u really care then get the sequential ikeya formula shifter..

I love my B and M short....but i dunno if it was worth $200

I got a B&M too, was easy to put in and works great. I highly recommend a short shifter, it makes the throw shorter yeah but what I noticed more than anything was how it tightened up the shifting. It just felt much more precise, and honestly I think it's easier to find gears now than before.

hey man.. i tried to be nice.. just search, theres a million reviews. If thats not good enough, just buy one, it's not really that much money! if you dotn like it switch back to stock. but come on.. 20 questions is a kids game. enough is enough.

i put the isis short throw v2 in a few weeks ago, loved it when it was new and still do. My old one had a ton of play, and i was often wondering if i was going to make it into the right gear. The new one is so much better, worth the $110 imo.

you will hear noise with b&m. why are you worried with noise? it's not like its going to break down. shifting is super tight and precise.

actually now that you mention it, it does make a kind of chattering sound sometimes, mostly while in 4th with the throttle closed. However it's not that bad at all, in fact it took someone asking about it for me to even remember. still well worth it IMO.

It's about the feel not about how much faster you can throw it. Buy the B&M is completely worth the money, not only is it a shorter throw but its a lot of stiff and sturdy feeling.

My B&M makes no noise, maybe your bushing is out or you applied the new shifter gasket half-assed.

Everyone I know who uses one does not have noise.

if the stock shifter is sloppier, wouldnt it be harder to find gears due to all the play?

I love my B&M, the shifts are tight and positive. It does make a little noise but I don't care.

I bought an ISIS and the bushing that the shifter pivots on broke in half after about 10K miles.... then I bought a B&M... lesson learned

I'm going to ask nicely. Will you please search using this: http://www.google.com (you have to type in the subject that you are interested in researching into the white rectangular box). Please quit being a thread and post whore!

Search for yourself.

Yeah but im not posting on spanish speaking forums. I'm guessing you aren't very far along in that class either. Not to say english is an easy language, its not. i just dont think you arent to the point where you can express a coherent thought written in the english language.

I think he means its just not as tight as a short throw.

I tend to agree, My Fd has a short throw shift and while I love it, I dont have to think about shifting in my s13. Its like muscle memory. I say keep it for drift/dd.
