Short Shifter For 07???

Hey guys!!! It's my first post and I'm glad to be a part of the 350z Community!! I have a quick question about a short shifter for the 07 model...Can I use the B&M shifter for the previous models??? Is there and other SS's that are of same quality? I came from a 2003 Honda S2000 and the Z just doesn't compare to the gearbox of the S...Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks!

I don't believe the transmission changed, so you should be able to use the B+M shifter....there's no rela substitute other than the NISMO adjustable height one.

I'd highly reccomend getting a NISMO shift knob as well, since the factory knob sits about 2" higher than it has to (no threading into the ball...)

I agree with the advice on buying the nismo piece, ive heard good things about that one, and the b&m one hasnt been reviewed too hotly. BUUTTTT, if you havent heard about it already, the one ive heard the best about is the "rogue engineering" short shifter. Rogue engineering is known for their work on bmw's, but for some reason they decided to make a short shifter for the Z and it seems to be one of if not the best one out right now. thats my .02, hope it helps a bit

how do you take off the shift knob on the 07.....its not a twist off one. is it from under the boot. And yess im gonna upgrade to the black NISMO shift knob.it will go awesome on this pearl color 350z i have going white and black. danny
