I was talking to a guy last month that has some short shaft tokico's for his s14 up 4 sale ( "dan" the moderater would know the guy) -> slo240 I've had a few lo' riders in the past and we've had to run them i get the max drop w/o botoming out the shocks. I'm not implying that shocks lower a car. I called tokico(usa) and they said they don't sell them. He replied that you have to get them in japan! Any comments? Tokico did state that you can drop a max of 1 inch before the shocks and struts are out of "phase" with the handling that they spent all there time to perfect.

were they factory shortened or a home breww? its not uncommon for budget racers to cut the shaft down on a shock to keep from bottoming on a lowered application. they also gain a little travel back because its not bottoming anymore.

you could cut your own down. you just need the tools to turn new threads on the end after they've been cut.

It's possible they are a japan only product.

I have KYB buzz specs and they are a short stroke japan only strut. GAB super strokes are exactly the same too.
