Short Ram Air ?

just out of curiosity....what is the short ram intake?? it's not the full intake is it?? if some1 has it could they please explain it to me...thanks

short ram is the same length as the stock pipe its just steel or aluminum i believe. just don't get a cai it sucks(just my opinion though.)

hmmmm, i thought short air was when the stock pipe is shortened, short ram was when its shorter and somehom air is being forced into the area of the cone or box that your using, and cold pretty much the same as ram only cold air is being rerouted, which would be any air that goes thru ram.... Plz correct me if im wrong

an intake provides elebated level of air going into the throttle body > intake manifold > engine

the aftermarket filters has better air flow to do the job described above. Short ram sits somewhere in your engine bay, suppose to have better throttle response but may suck up heated air after the car warms up. Cold air intake reduce this by sucking up colder air by the fender well at the price of reduced throttle response. If you go throttle a puddle with cold air intake installed then get ready to hydrolock your motor. Anyone who mentions bypass valve deserve to be shot because the bypass valve defeats the purpose of getting an intake because it reduce gained horse power (according to dyno) and it doesn't work until the intake is fully submerged with water.

I had this hybrid on my integra, it's called an ice box

it has the best of both world I guess
