Short Block?

hey, i just got on here, i have pretty high milage 240 (240,000mi) roughly, i'm currently in the position of a blown crank bearing (fun), so i was going to get reman. shortblock and go off of that, and planning on boosting it once it's all broken in.....i was wondering if anyone might know of a straight place, possibly in the northeast, near to ct, the does short blocks(core is no problem), and head(without a core, i want to put the old head(ka24de) onto my ka24e truck)....?i'll appreciate anything anyone might have to say.....

Lot of people are sellign their ka24de's. Guy sellign one with 21k mile son it in CA. I just bought a 100k for 300 Ka's go all day long for under 500. Either buy a used one for now. Or just get a built engine.

i know they're going left and right, but i've never had good experiences with used stuff....just kinda looking to do it mostly right, and i'm already cutting some corners, atleast on the turbo end, probably getting a slightly used one off a friends's newish volvo 850r.....thanks though....
