I HAD LOST THE #3 ROD BEARING ON MY 240SX I PULLED THE MOTOR AND TOOK IT APART AND FOUND THAT THE BEARING WAS MISSING I HAD NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN . THERE NEVER WAS ANY NOISE OR SIGNS. SO I STARTED PRICING THE PART TO REBUILD THE MOTOR AND I WAS A LITTLE SHOCKED. I HAVE AVALABLE A Z24 THAT HAD BEEN REBUILT AND THEY STRIPED THE CAM BOLTS WHEN THEY WERE PUTTING IT TOGETER IT'S A 1982 Z MOTOR AND WOULD THE SHORT BLOCK WORK IN PLACE OF 1989 KA24E .WILL MY HEAD BOLT ON . WILL THE MOTOR MOUNTS LINE UP AND SO ON. AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. BARTMAN

i think its highly possible it will fit in the mounts but i dont know about the trans or the manifolds. i know a lot of stuff from the ka, L, and z motors is interchangable. in fact i think the ka head will fit on the z bottom end. i dont know what compression that would give you. come to think of it i saw a website once with all different ka,L, and z combinations.
