short arm intake

has any body done a short intake modification if so, what do you do with the hose that comes out of the box that's next to the brake fluid . and does any body know were is the EGR. IN A NISSAN 240SX 1992

That thing connects to a device called the PAIR valve. all it does it allows fresh oxygen into the exhaust under start up conditions. this warms up the cat faster, and is trictly for emissions.

you can just throw a breather on that hose, or any tiny filter you can find. If youre smart enough you can removed that entire large black box assembly as long as you plug all associated vac lines, and then plug the large line going into the exhaust manifold

the EGR on DEs connects to the exhaust manifold near the firewall on the fourth cyl exhaust primary. its back there, and it looks kinda like a propane fitting. This leads to a metal hose that runs to an assembly on the intake manifold. plugging this side requires removing the upper intake manifold, and making a sheetmetal plug for the assembly, and/or putting a nickle between the pipe and the assmebly.

i didnt think anyone was gonna figure out what the hell you were talking about.....
