Anyone know of or had experience with any shops in Dallas Tx, that do SR swaps. After looking at the cost of turboing a KA, i'm considering the swap if it will net me more power be=too or less costly.

I saw Daunttless' website and the prices seemed good. If i lived closer to him, i'd be all for it, I just don't know any shops in DAllas other than Jo-tech and i won't take a car there, EVER.

Where in Dallas do you live? I'd offer my help cause i live in the colony, but i've never put in an SR so i'd just stand around looking important and ordering food.

well unfortunatly that's all i'd be good for too. lol

I don't know the first thing about swapping engines. maybe if it was an old push mower with a 1.5HP briggs and straton engine i could do it, but i have a feeling this is way more complicated.

If i could do the swap myself i wouldn't be asking for shops. The only engine work i can do is replacing spark plugs and wires. Plus i'd like to go from the auto to a stick.

BTW i'm in north dallas, kinda where Plano,Carrolton and Dallas all come together.

it's really not that hard. take everything apart, and put it back together.

CTC Motorsports - Their prices have gone up but they do good work. I would let them work on my car.

Boost Factor - I don't have too much info about them except that they can do the swap.

shoot dang, if you didn't mind driving down to college station, I have a shop here that has an engine lift and all the necessary stuff to do the swap. However I have never swapped an engine either, so I guess we would just stand around a lot and since all of us would be ordering food, we would just eat the whole time :D

sounds like a plan. We can all eat pizza and drink beer and tell stories of how bad *** our cars will be once we shoe horn a RB26DETT into it. :beerchug :bonghit

HAHA, sounds like a plan. its gonna be like King of the Hill, all of us standing around staring at the engine bay, sipping beer, and saying "yep".

As for a meet, if you guys dont mind the drive, come on over to the place i work at, Angelina's in The Colony. its a tex-mex place, food isnt bad, but could be better.

240_Keyy, if things work out, i should be in College station in about 7 months. maybe i'll see you there.

or how bout, I make a thread in the gathering forum and see what kinda of intrest there would be for a get together. Maybe we can get a Nissan Dealer to let us use their lot to meet up at(and pimp their cars) then we can all go to hooters or Bone Daddy's for burgers and beer.
