I've been looking for another car since I lost my 86 LeBaron convertible on Valentine's day this year. My daughter was driving it home from work when she got nailed by a red light runner. That damn car started right up when it was about 15 below freezing just prior to that - it was a real runner and kind of fun to drive, once it got past 15 or 20 mph... My dad bought it new and later gave it to me for my girls to drive. It nearly saw all three of them all the way through HS and was actually a popular car on campus due to its boxy 80's style.

OK short story long - just found a very nice looking 92 240SX convertible (I was not looking for another convertible - but this is too neat to not and go look at) with 80K miles. Very well maintained and local. Anything in particular I should look out for - this car hasn't been molested/modified in any sense. Right around $3K.

Thanks all - George

At first, I thought "owned by Nala", but I assume he actually means it's stock and unabused. That's becoming increasingly rare.

Bingo, Bubba.

It still had the boot for the top when it's down. Back to looking . . .

This last line may have cleared things up for you too, breadbox:
"this car hasn't been molested/modified in any sense. Right around $3K."

Sweet, I think I have had a virgin 240sx, its still stock, except I took it mostly apart and put it back together to learn how to work on it.

I have never owned a manual for the car either, which is weird, yet I have had them for other vehicles I've owned.

So its pretty close to virgin, but looks like a tramp.

NICO seems to be a very accepting place - so I'll go ahead and share that I bought a 98 Civic HX coupe. 149K miles, 5 speed, AC and new tires riding on 17 inch Mini Cooper wheels. I'll need to replace the PS fluid reservoir, but other than that, it's a solid little car and fun to drive for $2,700.

Not a virgin, but not one that I'll mind to be seen driving in.

Aww RIP Lebaron

What made those cars significant was that Chrysler dared to build convertibles when the industry had all but abandoned them.
