So I had a meeting with my Japanese counterparts last week (I work for Microsoft, the booing and hissing can start now if needed). Anyhow, after the meeting was concluded I asked them if they were familar with the Nissan Cima, they were. They were quite interested that I knew the name of that car since they had no idea that it was exported to the US.

So, i'm thinking when I go over there in November I come back with parts. I know a few of your have figured out now to get Japanese parts, I think I'd like to find some coilovers and one of those sweet looking grills. Anybody tried getting those parts back with them? Any other suggestions, I already asked them if they would help me and they were happy to.

Ohhhh, don't make eye contact with Jesda, I think he has hard feelings with the Redmond Group :D.

Related to your postMaybe, if they're a business, they could ship easier? Or help you with getting it boxed/crated to ship?

Shipping will be a pretty easy thing, I may even inter-office it if possible. Jesda, bring it on...post start-up implotions, it is good to work for the evil empi...er, I mean a nice big company :)

I'm not worried too much about getting it back, mostly about what my 2,500 is going to buy!

You can use bablefish (altavista) to translate. I've seen some cool stuff. You looking for cosmetics or performance?

Thanks, I'll shop and take some notes on the cool stuff. One of the guys is going to hook me up with a few of the right people in the Japanese office that are car guys.

Looking forward to this, oh and to being in Germany in September too where you get to drive fast and do not have to worry about tickets!

Geeze, not sure what to do to even figure out what to translate! i was thinking about both perfomrance (suspension) and cosmetics stuff, at least some interesting parts. How exactly do you figure out what to drop in Babblefish?? How do you search in Japanese?

I have shocks and springs on order for my 97 Q. I had them shipped from Japan and they should be arriving shortly. Depending on how money works out this summer I might be selling them. They are Tein springs that drop the car around two inches with SR Special shocks.

Okay, we'll let me know when you get them, I've got 75k and I while everything still feels quite good I know that shocks are required pretty soon (I know Q45Tech will say they are 15k overdue but the car still rides quite nice).

E-mail me direclty [email protected]. I can also throw in some Microsoft software to sweeten the deal. I do not get it for free but it is VERY reduced price.
