When do you know you've got a good deal?
The fact is, you will rarely ever know if you've gotten a good deal. That in itself may be irrelevant. If you felt like you got the best price, then you've succeeded. The object of the game is to drive away in a new car without losing your proverbial virginity to some salesman named Skip or Bruce or Jimbo.
Here are some signs that that your manhood (or womanhood) is intact:
10.You are preapproved by your credit union.9. Other salespeople are looking at your salesperson with weary eyes and in silent prayer.8.You can pull your down payment out of an ATM.7.Your trade was appraised at $2000...and $2500....and $2750....6.The invoice of the car is sitting in plain sight.5.You ask to have tint added and the desk manager scribbles, "AS IS" on your worksheet.4..Your salesperson is uneasy when you say, "I want the rebate offer, I know my bank can get me approved for low financing."3.You walked into the dealership while the sun was out, you left while the moon was out.2.Your salesperson is no longer smiling as you're walking to finance.1. A desk manager closes your deal.
