I'm shopping around for a used convertible, $3000-$4500. Here's what I have in mind so far:

Chrysler SebringMazda Miata

And as far as anything else, my mind draws a blank.Any suggestions?

Thanks,-Jesda

What does S13 mean? What is the actual model name?

240SX Convertible made from 92-94 I believe. (In 94, the only 240's were 'verts.)

My best friend has one, black on black. It are sexy. They only come auto, but still vastly less chickish than a Miata. ;)

Sebring = POS.

Miata = Most bang for the buck.

Maybe an early 90's Stang if you're mechanically inclined.

Ricardo Montalban says you really need a 1986 LeBaron droptop and an annoying foreign midget to be a true pimp.

gotta be the Turbo Lebaron...

or a 92 Vert Camaro RS or similar years like 90-92

being that it's a vert, doubt it's gonna be your daily, so uh, yeah...

S13 drop top with an MT swap would be awesome, but hard to pull off. Miata is the way to go, despite it's "chick car" status. E30 BMW 325 CI (I think that's the entire designation) would be another possibility.

MT isn't that hard, it would be worth it. s13 is a nice car.miatas are cool but just too small for me.

I don't know how loose your definition of convertible is,but mr2 t top would be cool too.

It would definitely have to be a soft top convertible. Thanks for all the suggestions.

The other day I was passed by a british racing green M-edition 96 Miata. Very nice car! I test drove one years ago. Speakers in the headrests, tan leather, very athletic.

I think the Sebring wins for styling (in its price range) but lacks in performance.

The Cutlass convertible would win me over if not for the basket handle.http://www.cardomain.com/id/coderedcutlass

Oh well. Come winter I'll forget about this fascination with drop tops.
