Hi, I'm shopping around for used 07 08 35S 6MT. I can get a 07 for about 18-20 (depending on options 20.5 w/nav) or an 08 for about 22-24 (24 with nav). Given the same mileage on both 40-42k, which is the better buy? I really miss MT since I had my old honda prelude, or am I nuts for even looking for a used 6MT?

Other than an ipod interface I don't see much of a diff?

Thanks

Ryan

Welcome to NICO!

Not much difference between the 07 and 08 sedans. I'd probably go with the 07.

Coupe or Sedan?

Go with the newer. Both still need emissions, but the 08' still has a factory warranty till 60,000 miles, and a powertrain till 70,000 miles. The 08 is totally different from the 07'. Go check both out, you'll figure which one you will like REALLY quickly.

Side note: I paid $25,999 no nav, but all other options for my 08' sport coupe.

Sedan. They both have the same warranty as far as I can tell, but yeah the 07 warranty is probably expired at least for the basic part of it. When you say all different, like what, engine? Or is that more true of the Coupe?

Thanks!

Are you looking at Sedans or Coupes?

The Sedan is pretty much the same 07 and 08 306hp 3.5l V6
The Coupe becomes a G37 in 08 and has a different... everything. 07 coupe is a VQ35DE motor making 280 hp, 08 coupe is a VQ37HR motor making 330 hp.

All G35/37 have 5spd auto or 6spd manual transmission until 2009. The 2009 have 7spd auto.

The 2009- current G37 Sedans have 328 hp and the 7spd.

I'll go with the 07. Not really care about the warranty.

Now that's a swaggering ad from a wheel company, no wheels showing! Reminds me of the first Infiniti commercials.

If the service records and conditions are about the same, go with the cheaper 07.
(we are all assuming you are talking Sedan's since the 08 Coupe was a G37)
