Hey I just got a 1990 gray 240sx hatch. I've been reading my a$$ off trying to find out as much about em as I can. I've always been a toyota guy when it comes to imports. I'm pretty sure I want a s13 sr20 black top. I want a clip too since I deeply regret not getting a clip when I did my MR2's swap. The place I bought my MR2's motor, osakajdmmotors, has one but I really didn't like their customer service after you sent them money at all. They where complete a holes. Sent me the wrong ECU and wouldn't swap. But the motor is very very clean and strong. I was just wondering if any of you guys know of some good places for a clip. I could settle for a red top, I just wanted a black top cause the chance of having lower miles would be better.

zerothread/126440That should help you out a little, I bought my redtop from Nesar at JDM-Online.com and they were great, although the email response wasnt the perfect they took good care of me.

Do some more searching, youll find your stuff.

quiet and aftermarket dont really go togeathere but i have a megan 2.5 and its pretty quiet and even more so if u leave the scilencer in but then what would be the point of an after market exaust : )

ive herd good things about apexi / fujitsubo but cant say any thing for them first hand

I have heard good things about pandagarage.com I'm pretty sure I've heard good things about Jhot too, they are not just in Georgia though, they have a second warehouse and I think it's in California.

Lol yeah I realize that its going to be somewhat noisey but I mean like the smoothest sounding ones. I wanna stay far far away from the raty ricer pipes.

I'll probably give JHOT a call tomorrow and see what they can do. I sent some emails out to a few other places. I'm just very uneasy about places outside the US cause the experiance with osakajdmmotors. If I got something from JHOT and was screwed over I'd just drive up there and beat there asses. Lol Not so easy when the company is in F'n canada.

When it comes to swaps i would say the best route is a front clip but also the most expensive, you probably already know this though. Congrats on your first 240 though, i saw your MR2 and it looks really nice, i've always liked those cars.
