ok im finally gonna have enough for a sr20det swap and need help of where to purchase. should i get one off of ebay or is it too big or a risk?if anyone has bought this motor swap online could you please post the web site.

also i know they except money orders and for example. if the engine set cost $2500 bucks. how would i pay for that in money order? cause the limit for a money order is 500 dollers, soo would i need to sent 5 different money orders in one envelope? sorry if this is confusing.

please help thanks.

Hello,

Try http://www.phase2motortrend.com

Their motor packages are great and you won't get screwed. They have a reputation to uphold and they'll get the job done. Also, you would have to contact them about payment options.

I think anywhere else, you'll be taking a risk. Keep in mind, if you live on the east coast, I don't know what to tell you!

I agree with the otehr , stay away from ebay motors and use a reputable company like phase2

Never heard of them. $500 is very cheap to install a motor, but if the harness on the motor you buy has been cut to ****, the wiring will be fiendish.

Even if you have a complete harness, it won't be easy. Did you ever actually look under the hood to see how much wiring there is?

Again, follow the advice above. Buy the engine from a well-known, reputable seller and have a reputable shop drop it in (or do it yourself). If you take it to a shop, see if there's a way you can check out their work on other cars.

Many people have been ****ed over trying to save some $$$.

I took a huge risk going through ebay for my front clip. When I saw $2800 for a 98 S14 front clip, couldn't resist. Turned out great, motor works perfect. On the other hand, my buddy who bought a $800 S13 Redtop engine only got screwed. I would advise against going through ebay as support will be very poor.
