yeah it actually binded the starter up so i heard it first, then when i turned it over the second time i heard the metal on metal noise...im just glad it didnt fire and it was just turning overMadhatter969 wrote:I can imagine what kind of horific thoughts went through your mind when you heard that noise.
Woah, you are terribly mistaken, a camshaft can never change the compression of the engine.Brandon1605 wrote:Not to derail your topic or anything, but you mentioned you have SOHC cams in your DOHC motor. Now, I have been told many times that this is possible and it ups the compression. Now, Ive toyed with the idea of doing a compression NA build for my ride since Im building it for corner carving up in the mountains as Im privileged enough to live near Tail of the Dragon. So, any details on it?
That was a mistype on my part. I meant to put pistons.Chaluska wrote:Woah, you are terribly mistaken, a camshaft can never change the compression of the engine.Brandon1605 wrote:Not to derail your topic or anything, but you mentioned you have SOHC cams in your DOHC motor. your talking about putting SOHC pistons in a DOHC engine.. that bumps the compression.
if you are going to be mountain driving in high altitude, you should REALLLLYYY consider a turbo.. even a t25 low boost setup.. it will make a considerable amount more power, at all usable RPMS.
Ka's werent ment to rev high.. they were ment to tow a 2800 lb car, with driver, and all accessories, very quickly
