So i just recently rebuilt my s14 sr. Here's my list of mods:
- Eagle rods
- JE pistons
- Apexi 1.1mm hg
- Greddy FMIC
- s15 turbo
- z32 maf/ apexi intake
- 3" exhaust to cat, then 2.5" magnaflow

- stock injectors
- chipped ecu for my setup

I'm not very experienced when it comes to turbochargers, so my questions is: to get to that 300-350hp do i need to get 555cc injectors, new ecu/reflash and a boost controller? would that be it? Also if i was to raise the boost with stock injectors/ecu, what would be a safe level? and i know i would have to retard my timing, but i forgot how many degrees? thanks for any input

Upgrade your injectors to 555 at least, I'm gonna get 740 for me. And yes you will need to get your ecu tuned for it all. Boost controller is practically a must along with boost/vacuum gauge. And I wouldn't go above 15 pounds of boost cause that is probably maxing out the injectors. Safely I wouldn't go above 12 pounds. Plus I would go a full 3 in exhaust instead of shrinking down from a 3 to a 2.5 inch.

I'm assuming your pistons are stock (8.5:1) compression.

Then yes, injectors, tune, and boost controller should do it. on the stock injectors in wouldn't run over 10 psi with that turbo just to be safe, dont want to burn a hole in those nice new pistons.

The tune you get should include a boost retard so you dont have to physcally retard it yourself.

With that turbo you should be able to run 18 to 21psi just fine, and have full boost pretty damn early. this is a fun setup.

I don't think you will reach 350hp. Like stated above, those injectors are going to limit you as well as your tune. Plus I dont think I have seen a 350hp S15 turbo.

You should be able to get a scary responsive 300-330hp if you have the injectors and tune. You will also need a boost controller, since the S15 turbo will likly be on the stock .5BAR.

GT2871r (.64) at 20psi give or take, JWT ECU, JWT S3 Cams or your choice of 264 cams (stay away from bc unless you like playing with cam sprockets) and 740cc injectorss. Thats a 320-380hp formula easy. Those 555cc inj will limit you and as stated above 350 on a s15 turbo is kinda unlikely.

breaking 350 HP on 550 injectors and an s15 turbo is possible but I don't think you're going to get there just focusing on boost levels tune(if you get a really good custom tune, maybe). you're going to be close but to get you over the line you should start looking at the little things that can can be quite often overlooked.

like: lighter engine pulleys and flywheel, get a full 3" exhaust and a good intake if you don't already, maybe new intake manifold, good plugs, maybe upgrade your throttle body. things like that. you can get there but prob not from boost alone. gonna need to nickel and dime it with reducing weight on the reciprocating mass, upgraded ignition and flow.

with what you would have to spend it might be cheaper to just get a bigger turbo, injectors and tune, but if you pull it off would be fast as hell.
