So I don't get it Nissan tells me my rear shocks are worn and wont replace because my aftermarket wheels wore them out. And I ant find any shocks except KyB and they only have the rear.one shop tells me 369 installed for rear another shop tells me if I come in and pick them up 88 a piece. Another shop says 899 for the front and rear in KyB but Kyb doesn't make the fronts? I need shocks and curious who makes some I plan on putting eibach with new shocks unless they dot make any and its close to the BC coilover price ill get coils. Anyone know anything?

lol a little punctuation would be nice.

I think the cheapest fix would just be to buy two $88 shocks and throw them on there yourself. $369 is insane for just installing two rear shocks. I also don't understand how your wheels could have worn them out.

If you were going to spend $899 for stock shocks, then I would def look into the BC racing coilovers. I may not be understanding you question right judging by the way its worded lol

sorry i was at work with my phone i could not see the screen haha...my question is what are we supposed to do for shocks? NIssan is telling me my shocks are worn out because of my 20's and wont replace them. So i need new ones. I saw kyb's for the rear but no fronts. So localy i found them for 88 a piece rear only. What am i supposed to do about the fronts? Yah if im going to spend that much i will put coilovers on it. So my question is does anyone make shocks yet for the fronts? And how is the eibach with 20"s ride quality? How about 20's and coilovers? I was a good ride i wish i would have gone with 19's but i didnt.

oh ok gotcha lol

Someone with more info might want to jump in. I'm not sure off the top of my head what brand the stock shocks are, I guess just "nissan". Will they not just sell you two fronts?

I have 19s and eibach and the ride is understandably a little bouncy. You will basically sacrifice some ride quality for better handling, which is awesome. I've never driven on coilovers, but I hear it's a little rougher than eibachs, but you gain even more performance.

Some one with 20s and eibachs jump in and let the OP know how the ride quality is

did some looking and you may want to go this route. http://www.nissanpartsconnection.com

They have the front struts for $116 a piece so that puts you at about $400 to replace everything if you install it yourself. SO either way, looks like there is no easy way out, I would ask the stealership what specifically caused the shocks to wear out, they can't just say it was the wheels without explaining how the wheels played a part in wearing the shocks out.

Sometimes they are bad about blaming problems on anything aftermarket that you put on your car. I can see that if the off-set was WAY off that your wheels could be rubbing the shocks themselves, but i've never heard of just the wheels contributing to worn shocks and struts. I mean my local nissan dealer puts aftermarket wheels on about half the cars/trucks they sell. You're not on eibachs though right?

I am also considering some very Nice Lexani 20x8.5 rims for my 2.5 and i was debating about Eibachs or Coils.. I have the 1000$ for the coils and duno how much the installation will be.. i live in an apartment so i cant do it myself.. i also duno how the drop will look i want it to be low and right below the fender with no rubbing.. so any feedback that dangeris or dave or hell ne1 can add to this feed would benefit me as well as stokes :)

much love broski's

I remember about two or three months back someone posting about KYB's shocks (something like "finally aftermarket shocks" and it was in this sub-forum I believe). Anyways I could be wrong but I think in that post it said something that the front shocks for the sedan was the same for the coupe. I'd try going to a different Nissan Stealership if there is another one nearby, because they are feeding you bull. I don't see how aftermarket wheels can damage shocks; but if there is another local shop go there and for just in case reasons reinstall your OEM's if you still have them.

I've just recently placed all my shocks/struts with KYB's. I ordered them from Tirerack $380.00 shipped. Just make sure that they come from Japan and not Mexico if you do order them.

My vehicle was purchased new and seems to me is that the shocks/struts were dead from the start. I tried to get the dealership to replace them, but had no luck. At 30K and tired of my car riding like crap I replaced them with KYB's.

The difference is night and day when driving it now. I hardly even have to correct my steering wheel on badly paved roads. I've went back to the dearlership and test drove new Altima's and they don't ride nearly as well as mine.

Hope this helps
