Hey All

I have to change my shocks and I have been researching on the boards and I have come across some different brands

So can I get some reviews on these shocks/struts

1. Rancho2. Monroe3. KYB

Now I know everyone seems to use the KYB's so I can determine what the quality is but has anyone used Rancho or Monroe on their pathy's?

Thanks

I bought my Pathy with Monroes on it. They suck. I'll be replacing them with KYBs as soon as I can afford to.

Nissan uses plain ol' KYBs as the OEM part.

I upgraded to GR2s in the front and have been very happy. Word to the wise, it's a SOB of a job and make sure you buy new sway bar links online. I didn't and had to skimp because the stealership wanted $100+ a POP. They're ~$27 online.

The rear shocks are a cakewalk from what I'm told. Whenever I get around to doing them I will. YOu can find the GR2s for the rears for around $40 if you look hard enough.

Honestly, I don't know. I'll take a look under the Pathy this evening and let you know. They certainly are nothing I'd recommend. The valving seems to be all wrong for the Pathfinder. They are too stiff at times, and too loose other times. I've had KYB on several of my previous cars and have always found them to be very high quality products and usually right in the performance zone I was looking for.

I got the GR2's and the front stabilzers installed today, man what a difference in feel. Its comfortable now and stiffer!! I love it! No more bounching and clunking sounds lol

I also had it aligned, now to figure out how to prevent the potholes and bad roads in Toronto, I know hoop dreams
