hello. ok my parts guy said 1993 maxima struts will fit my 93 j30 , I hope it is true because I am getting them friday. and 1.7" drop springs as well.

Oem shocks and strut inserts won't survive a 1.7" drop for long. As the shocks would need to be 1.5 times stiffer........should really handle horribly with that low a drop.

why will handle horriby? 1.7 is not a low drop. is it? 2."or 3" ok but not 1.7" . I think anyway.

The only aftermarket alternatives is custom made.

Koni or KYB is the way to go.. Search posts by DIAMOND or DIAMONDJ30 (same person, different SNs).. He had custom ones made, and whenever they go bad he gets free rebuilds....

... cost him nearly a grand though..

my shop guy asured me that tokico work , some one in the states has them on his j30 , but I do not know part no. thay are on order when get here we will all know if thay work.

If they work, that's not that bad for a custom job for the J30.

I went OEM all the way around and it cost me around $1100. That was at T3, in Atlanta. The J30 struts are killer on the wallet. Cost more than the Q45 ones.

koni insert for a 96 max will work in front .im dropped 2.25...at 1.7 you may want to cut bumpstop.my rears are custom so.my struts are still on the lowest setting.been this low for years.koni can hang.

nope,you have to have springs made....coilspringspecialties online.if in seattle area..you can have gitts spring make some nice 35% over touring springs.
