my front left shock (or spring not sure) makes weird noises when i go to fast around a turn that puts more pressure on it or when i go over a bump to fast. its a weird sound. its not a popping sound but i dont know how to describe it. its like a smushing/scretching sound. any ideas on what it is? it only happens when i drive hard otherwise its fine.

Hmm... I cant think in my mind what a mushing/stretching sound would be like, but did you put the spring silencers on the springs when you installed the new shocks? Not sure if that is the correct name but they basically wrap around the spring at the contact points with the shock and upper mount.

And zeus03... you sir are a jack*ss. I hope you recieve copious amounts of spam for hijacking this thread.

You can get Whiteline spring silencers from http://www.pdm-racing.com

Kevdog, the stock springs should have come with the spring silencers on them. They are brown and wrap around the spring. I lost one of them and used duct tape which most definitely wont hold up, but so far I havent had any problems.

I guess it is hard to say. Did you do the install yourself? If not, you should take it back to the shop and ask them to look at it. A shop should have reused the spring silencers from your stock setup. If you did it yourself, you may want to go ahead and redo it with the spring silencers. I would doubt that the install is bad because it really isnt a difficult process. The other thing you might want to check is that all of the nuts are tightened correctly.
