Shocks and struts...

I have a 96 240se, and am in the market for some new struts...front and rear. The car is pretty much stock, and I don't want to mod it as of yet. The cheapest I have seen any struts for sale for is about 300.00, and that's not installed. Does anyone know if that is about as low as it goes? My daughter drives the car now, and all I can really afford to put on it is some decent stock type struts...or at least that's what I think. What do you guys suggest? Thanks a million!
