So the other day I had a truck full of people (99 QX4) and everytime I went over a shallow bumb I would hear a loud BANG! from underneath my truck. My guess is that my suspension is shot and I probably need to replace it ASAP. Does anyone know where I could find new shocks and struts for a good price?

I've had the best experience purchasing from Rockauto.com.
Have yet to find better prices and selection.

Are your bumpstops still intact, too? These are rubber bumpers inside the rear coils that will provide additional support when loaded. They are items that wear.

The bumpstops being worn and basically nonexistent was the issue with mine when it was loaded with at least 300lb of people and cargo. Your QX4 being a 99 model is probably the same issue. I ordered from Amazon the Air Lift airbags for the rear shocks and it resolved that. It had actually slipped my mind that I had them installed since I was driving my other vehicle. So for about a month I wasn't checking the pressure on the bags, now they won't hold any air.

Replaced the bumper stops on my 04 Pathfinder LE and that fixed the problem. Also, replaced the rear shocks with KYB shocks. Made all the difference. The coils were still in good shape.

Look on Amazon and search FEBEST ND-020 Rear Bumper Spring

They were held in place by a 12mm bolt. You will need at least an 8" socket extension to get them out.

Yeah it's got to be the bumpstops. I'm going to check them out today and see how they are. Thanks for all the help and info guys! Much appreciated!

I have the bumpstops but I've been busy lately so I haven't had the chance to put them on yet. I just looked at lemansz20 photos of his pathfinder that he lifted and I'm thinking about lifting my QX4 soon and also add spacers. Basically his exact set up haha. I'm going to try and put the bumpstops on this weekend so I'll leave feedback when it's complete.
