Okay here is my issue: I have GR2's on the rear end of my 99.5 Pathfinder. I know they come well recommended by many of you. Here's my issue though...the responsiveness on turns could be better on my Pathy. I've checked out most of the suspension components and everything looks pretty good. I've had the GR2s on for over a year now and while I don't feel like I'm going to rollover on turns there is definitely more body roll than I'd like. Would a stiffer shock help the problem? Is the KYB GasAJust a good way to go?

ANY and all advice would be appreciated from somebody who has used the GasAJusts...or the GR2's and has a perspective on better handling. I should add that I usually don't have the spare tire on the car since it's junk and I am doing mostly driving around town on good Michelin Cross Terrain tires...so that means a little less weight in the back. Would that make a difference? We're talking maybe 50-60 pounds that the tire would add?

A stiffer (haha I said "stiffer") shock will help with your "rollover fear" but it also makes the ride a bit less comfortable as well. Check to make sure there is nothing wrong with your anti-sway bar. Trus me, we drive boxes on top of tires that are top heavy to begin with, it aint gonna take turns like a suped-up race-ready Skyline, sorry.

You want to talk about rollover, I have no rear anti-sway bar, no front anti-sway bar, long travel rear shocks & a small lift... I love it. Can you feel my wobble from there?

ha that is awesome. i want a ride in that pathy--that must be an adventure off road.

yeah we have a highlander too and it's a camry on stilts basically and i guess i'm a little bit spoiled because i can drive it like a car. good point on the top heavy truck issue.

Cant tell you about GR2's but I recently installed the Gas-A-Justs and they are decent. No noticeable difference in ride comfort, lifted the rear some, and handle quite well. For the price I am very happy and they were fairly easy to install.

what did you have on there before? The OEM's (which I think are just like GR2's) or something else?

Had original/stock shocks which were KYB, I didnt see a "GR-2" designation on them, there was a part no. on them though. If you want it for any reason I can get it. When I took the original KYB's off they didnt uncompress fully, rear end was sagging. No complaints though for 10 year old shocks. Gas-A-Justs are a definite improvement-along with the 275/55/17 H-rated Pirelli's and 17x9 wheels the Path is pretty sticky around curves.
