i went to get this 93 240sx coupe w/ 99k miles checked out by a body shop i kind of know. He told me the cars been hit on the right side and had the fender replaced. If you see the shock tower it looks a little bent. He told me the car doesn't look as if there is any frame damage. My question is if the shock tower has a dent in it, doesn't that mean it has frame damage? I mean if it had that kind of impact to damage the shock tower.btw the guy at the body shop told me the gaps between the fenders and the hood and the lines look normal, which indicated there is no frame damage. The seller is selling it for 2200, but i got it down to 1900.

-Thanks in advance

If you can send me some pictures, I have been in the autobody business for 10 years now and can tell you what is going on.

First you car doesn't have a "frame" so it can't have "frame damage" Second yes if the strut tower is damaged, you have structural damage that coulc effect the way the vehicle drives & performs.Third, send me some pics of the strut towers(both sides) and the ft end showing the hood to fender gaps & I will see what I can tell you. Most of the structural damage on unibody cars is easily repairable with no lingering effects if repaired properly at a quality shop.

when i put on the strut bar on my car i can see my strut tower doesn't line up. One side is more up front than the other but when i first got the car it doesn't have any steering problem or anything. Now it pulls to the right becuase of my alignment(i hit a curb when it was pouring like shi*)
