shock/strut dust cover

Do i really need the dust cover over the rod of the shock/strut. I can't seem to locate any for sale.

Well, try following links, I got mine from one of following, can't remember which one. They are made by KYB for rear shock only, Hum, somehow OEM costs way too much..........

Just do your search, those are called shock bellows.

The plastic boot is definitely something you want. Those little pieces of plastic keep dirt and road grit from getting in the strut. The prior owner of my car didn't bother changing a torn boot and the end result was two blown front struts. They really aren't very expensive. I think the boots for KYB struts go for less than $20 a piece.

I got mine from tirerack.com and I got them in a hurry. you definately want to have those on your shocks and struts.

The boots on all 4 of mine are shot. BUT im leaving them that way so they WILL bust. New shock/springs!
