This is a conversation that was started in another thread. I feel it makes better sense to move it to a separate thread.

DAEDELUS said: "The shocks themselves are about $300 for all 4, but I also strongly recommend doing all rubber bushings and dust boots, which are another $200 roughly. It's been a while though. But you have the active model? You would need to buy some conversion pieces. In that case I think I remember reading maybe $1000-1200. Check with Scottsdale...they had an active conversion kit at one point."

What if I don't want to convert the active? I think that my actuators are working fine. I read somewhere on this board that if the car is riding somewhat rough, but the system is showing no warnings and seems to work fine itself, that you should be able to just replace the shocks themselves.

If you decide to take the plunge and convert, I would be interested in a few parts for my ailing 94' active :pface .

MiniMan,

What parts specifically would you want, or would you just want the setup?

In particular I'm in need of the master pump/cylinder. Hell, I'm not too sure what it is, but it's something like that. It may also be the active suspension controller. In any case, I'm going to do a diagnostic on the car hopefully later tonight. I'll get back to you as soon as I can pin-point the problem. Thanks in advance mpoyner :) .
