hello, I was wondering what people think about the KYB GR2's. enjuku has a kit of tein springs and GR2s for 349$.I was either going to go with that or pro kits and AGX's but for 349 bux you cant really beat that.just wondering how they perform.are they good or spend the money on the agx's and the prokits.

gr2's are basically oem stock struts. If you look at the rear on some 240's (or most or all, iono), they are labelled gr2's.

As for "what is the best", it sort of depends on what you are doing w/ the car.

People like the AGX because you can adjust dampening. Of course, there are complaints about the rear being underdampended, especially with sportlines or something w/ higher spring rate. The pro kit should be fine though.

I personally run the AGX + Sportlines and love it compared to stock, considering my 15-16 year old shocks were blown to hell.

I also chose AGX because gr2's wouldn't last as long if I ran sportlines - higher spring rate & more lowering.

If you really want to go all out on a spring/strut combo, you can do the koni yellows + RSR springs or something - basically no complaints from anyone who's done that, just the cost.

It may help other repliers if you state what you will be doing w/ the car - Auto-x/road racing, drifting, drag, daily driving.

Basically, if you want to compete, I would say get AT LEAST agx - koni's if you can. Otherwise, save up for a set of coilovers (like megan coilovers being sold by underground in Advertiser's specials for $900).

If daily driving - the gr2 + tein will be just fine for you - you'll get a stiffer but comfortable ride.
