I can't imagine a Spanish version of an R51 Pathfinder would be different in anything other than interior perhaps.
On my 2001.5 Pathfinder, I have KYB struts and shocks all around and am quite happy with their performance over the tired 130k-mile worn stock suspension components. Be sure to replace the strut mounts and bearings if applicable; I would get Raybestos or Sachs for those components as some have reported problems with the KYB strut mounts, at least on R50 Pathfinders.
As for brake pads, I am happy with the relatively inexpensive Wagner ThermoQuiet pads. They have adequate braking performance, are quiet, and don't leave excessive amounts of brake dust.
