Do you require OEM part numbers for these parts, or examples of suitable and high-quality aftermarket replacements?

High-quality aftermarket would be fine, but I am afraid of buying a wrong part as this Path is a Spanish Pathfinder. If you could help me... :wavey:

I can't imagine a Spanish version of an R51 Pathfinder would be different in anything other than interior perhaps.

On my 2001.5 Pathfinder, I have KYB struts and shocks all around and am quite happy with their performance over the tired 130k-mile worn stock suspension components. Be sure to replace the strut mounts and bearings if applicable; I would get Raybestos or Sachs for those components as some have reported problems with the KYB strut mounts, at least on R50 Pathfinders.

As for brake pads, I am happy with the relatively inexpensive Wagner ThermoQuiet pads. They have adequate braking performance, are quiet, and don't leave excessive amounts of brake dust.

Well, in fact I think that the diference are in the interior (for sure console is). Do you have the part numbers of those componentes? I will try to order trough e-bay, or rockauto, for delivery on january when I am bound to New York...

You can look up the struts and shocks part numbers here: http://showmetheparts.com/kyb/

RockAuto will have the correct brake pad part numbers.
