When I corner really fast, I feel very weak shivering through my steering wheel and my butt. This happens around clipping point. What is the possible cause and cure?

It's a brand new tein one. =-) This happens some times. Could road surface cause this? I thought if road surface is the culprit, the shock should come in the form of bump rather than shiver.

What kind of tires you run? I'm running some chubbybutt BF Traction T/A's for the winter and they do NOT like being scrubbed.

Otherwise, how are your strut mounts?

Eh? Falken Azenis are tires, not wheels. Did you mean the Hanabi's?

You sure it's just not you getting scared from cornering too fast?

hahahahaha.

Um, have you tried checking the tires for chunking? Just throwing that out there since some tires like to get a lil chunky depending on how you drive. Does it happen on any road surface (i.e. even in parking lots, new roads, etc)? happens when you do donuts also? Just trying to put this into the most easily replicable situation so you can test various things.

What SOME ppl do, is take out their power steering to check out what's wrong. This will allow you to reallllly feel what is happening w/ the car.

For s13, easy, I believe all you have to do for testing purposes is to remove the pulley belt.

For s14, slightly harder (have to find a tensioner pulley, etc).

***edited: actually, should be sohc & dohc, not s13, s14.

You can't just remove it on an s13 either, as the belt that drives the PS also drives the water pump, and the PS pump is the tensioner as well.

Perhaps I'm thinking sohc & dohc then?

I swear that the alternator & water pump are hooked up together on sohc. Then the power steering had its own tensioner. I'm too lazy to run outside and double check on my sohc, but ok, so it's harder for dohc.
