I had my wheels shipped via UPS. They were in 2 separate boxes. The problem that I had was ****ing UPS lost one of the boxes for a WEEK so I had to wait to get all 4 on my car.

To ship wheels cheap and safe, ship them through ForwardAir.

I shipped my BBS's from AZ to CT for $45.

Go to a local tire shop and ask for some wheel boxes. Pack newspaper tightly around them and add and extra layer of cardboard on the front and back of each wheel.

Never ever leave the face of the wheel exposed to cardboard. Many wheels that are returned to manufacturer for blemish/finish damage, are rejected for credit, because the wheel was determined to be further damaged while in transit.

If you've ever removed a new wheel from a manufacturer's box, you'll notice great care was taken to ensure the pristine finish of the face of the wheel. Usually, there are layers of soft plastic, and a hard plastic edge covering the circumference of the wheel.

Like previously stated, do what you can to make sure the wheel CANNOT move around at all, in the box you package it in. Then, take extra time to cover and secure the face of the wheel with soft plastic covering. Two layers are better than one.

What about like a t-shirt over the face? That should help.
