OK, I went to Fedex to find out shipping costs. And, it said it had a limit of 20 pounds per shipping, and I am trying to ship a WHOLE 240SX door to my house. The door is in Virginia, and i cant seem to get prices. WHere shud I be looking for shipping prices? What company shud I use? What's the cheapest and fastest?

sorry for the basic questions, but i have never done shipping before.

P.S. I am assuming the door is around 50-70 Lbs.?

Thanx guys, sorry to annoy ya all :D

I've had good luck with Eagle Global Logistics, a google search should turn them up and they have excellent prices on shipping larger items.

thats bs there isnt a 20lb limit. u can do a hold for pickup so u can pickup the box from the local fedex that way you wont get charged for the residential. i would check with the usps.

There is always another option....... A while ago, before I learned how to work on cars or how to source parts, I paid a guy for a non-cracked S13 dash. He sent it to me via the Greyhound bus. That dash is pretty big and it only cost something like $40 to ship from California to Colorado. The only drawback was waiting for the bus to show up with the other people but hugging a dash instead of a loved one................

that's a pretty good idea tell you the truth. I mean crap, a dash is pretty big and heavy for shipping, 40 for a nice cross country ride sounds pretty good to me. Ha ha ha.

lol, nice......

mpc... I swear it said '20 lbs. or 9.7 KG limit' or something to that affect, I swear.

Update: ok, Im at UPS, i got MOST of it straigtened out, but... What should I say to them about the shipping, because it is coming From a Business adrees, and I have an address that is residential AS well as Business (parents are self employed) so which should I use?

Choices are as follows:How will you get your package to UPS? 1.Drop Off - I will drop off my package at any location accepting UPS packages. 2.UPS Customer Counter - I will pay shipping charges and ship my package at a UPS Customer Counter. 3.Retail Location - I will pay shipping charges and ship my package at a retail location such as The UPS Store. 4.One Time Pickup/ On Call Air Pickup - I will call UPS to pick up my package. 5.Daily Pickup - I have a daily UPS pickup.

(this is with NON-residential checked)

Sorry for the thread, and the absolut N00bness at shipping (first time)

Thnx guyz :)
