I have started polishing the Upper Plenum. Tell me what you think of it.

Here's the last one:

Note that this plenum is nowhere near completion. I have to polish the rest of it. And then I still have to Buff it out. I just want your opinions on it thus far.

man u have some hours ahead of you! Go for it! May buy a used one myself to do the same and install when I do the hose kit. I would paint the oval black and highly polish the logo. just my taste.

Thus far, I have spent approximately 45 minutes on it. I don't like how the logo looks so dull now. Maybe, as you said, painting the oval black would look good.

Looks good so far. Can you separate the Infiniti logo? Might make things easier.

What kind of tool are you using?

I don't know if I can seperate the logo from the plenum. It looks like it is cast right into it . Has anybody tried to remove it before?

I am using an Electrical Rotary Tool with a 120 Grit Sanding Wheel. It's set on the lowest speed, which is a claimed 12000 rpm. To buff it, I will probably use a 200~500 Grit wheel, and then go buy, or make, a buffing wheel.

It should look really "pimp" when it's done.

But, I still have to do the TB. Theat is going to be a real pain. That are so many nooks and crannies . Very difficult to work with.

I wonder, what would happen if I sand Blasted it? Would that make it shiny too? Or would that just leave it pitted?

Sandblasting won't work.

Also, make sure you work UP in 100-grit increments until you reach 600, and at 400 switch to wet.

After 600, move to Mother's (and be prepared for a TON of work).

Logo is easily removed.
