Ok guys,

Ive got it mounted, all wires run. I have power and ground hooked up. The last wire goes to the negative side of the coil. Which wire is this. I see three different harnesses, one with 3 wires...one with 2 and then a single wire. It is a 93 coupe. Please help...doing install as we speak.

What wire are you looking at here.. I assume you've got an MT transmission and i'm guessing the harness you speak of is on the light itself.. ?

Power/Ground/Signal wires?

I'm not sure where you would get the signal from on the transmission..I can't think of what to hook it up toIf you like I can hold a 9v battery in the passenger seat and when u hit 7k rpm ill give it power so it lights up

mebbe it needs to hooker up to the tach signal wire o_O

Sorry im not much help.. never installed it before :)

I have power and ground....this is what is going on....i have tried both wires on the two wire harness on the coil. Neither one light the shift light up when i get to my set rpm....however when turning the car off....the light blinks once on acc.....it is almost as if i have a bad connection...but everything is fine. Am i one the right side of the coil...i have used my test light and there is one hot wire on each of the two harnesses(2 wire, 3 wire)..The instruction tell me to hook it up to the negative side of the coil.

i thought about it....but the prob is that the wires are so small to cut and if it is wrong, it takes forever to connect them back..Does it say which "side" of the ignition coil is negative?

i couldnt find anything about which side is negative.. its also cut up so i cant see the other side at the same time so its kinda hard =/ have u tried them all?

set the limit on the shift light to like 800rpm or something that your car idles right above and then try one at a time.. you could probably hook one end of the wire to the alligator clip portion of a test light and then probe each wire [or the end of the harness where the spade connectors are] to see if you can get it to activate mebbe.. or some other setup like that so you dont have to cut anything

Finally got it...It is the green wire with a black strip that is on the 2 wire harness into the coil. That is the wire that runs the tach signal for the shift light.
