Hey guys does anyone if you can replace the shift knob on the J30, without taking apart a ton of stuff?

Thanks alot, mine is a bit faded, and if I can find a nice one I'd like to swap it out.

Use a couple of small screwdrivers or the like on the sides of the pushbutton to release the plastic. Then, a 14mm(?) nut under that.

u gotta use a deep well socket to get the nut out tho. im not too sure of the size of the nut, due to the fact that i used a pair of needle nose plyers to get mine out. i went for more of a "manual" look. got one of those shifting knobs off ebay, that look like one from a manual, and i also got a leather boot for the gear shifter too. :D

yep, the part that you push down. its best to get one of those little flathead screw drivers that look like a toothpick, but dont bend as easy. and put that on the left and right sides to unclip the thing button from the sidewalls of the handle.

or get a larger flathead screwdriver and go from either the back or the front of the button and pry it from underneath. hope that helps ya out. good luck.
