So my girlfriend has an 09 Altima with the 4 cylinder engine. Last night she was driving home from work and when she went to accelerate it would start shaking pretty badly at 40 mph to the point where you automatically knew something was going on. I went and picked her up but did a test drive with her car to see what the issue was. It did the same thing to me at 40 mph and then again at 20 mph. I was able to get to go passed 20mph but I accelerated very slowly. It was almost like it was bogging down and shaking each time it happened. So we parked the car for the night just so it didn’t get any worse. Anyone know what it might be? I’m thinking a possible tranny issue but seems like it could almost be anything

mac, the "it could be almost anything" can be narrowed down with a code scan ( and needed If 'n your Svc eng soon Lt may be Lit) - Autozone and such does for free , they are not SUPPOSED to clear codes though. :yesnod

I would’ve down a scan for any error codes if there was an engine light on. None of the warning dash lights were coming on
