Shifting Faster With An Auto

Can anyone (like a mechanic) tell me if there is any truth to what this guy did, or if it's a bad idea? Would there be any long-term effects?

I called my local Nissan dealer and spoke with a service tech, but she had no idea what I was talking about, so I'm not sure where else to turn for answers.

it's a load of crap. don't do it unles syou want to leave your transmission a few miles behind you.

iv heard a venom 400 will make your auto shift faster then a manual.. but thats what ive heard.

yes, my coworker tried it, with me in the vehicle.

you simply feel when gear engages and car jerks. not a long term upgrade solution.

i'd do it if i was going to do a 5spd swap and already had parts in the garage waiting, then would drive car like that for a while.

but no, dont do it. contact nissan, and obtain engineering blueprints and designs. go thru it, see what are the effects will be, then deicide on doing it.

Yes, a Venom 400 does make your auto shift better, but besides that is pretty much a waste of money.

That plug is some sort of sensor that regulates the pressure of the ATF, I unplugged it when I had an auto but didn't even feel any difference.

A month later my transmission went up, but I doubt that had anything to do with it. Never know though...

If you want better shifting, you can't go wrong with the manual swap .
