I just got the sr20det, and i am replacing alot of parts:

Water Pump :: 100 + laborClutch :: 350 + laborRadiator :: 200Fuel Pump :: 100 + Labor

But the new problem is that the shifter pops out easliy, i mean a small tug and it comes right out. any suggestion, or does everyone have this problem.

make sure you have the C ring (it will have two holes at the ends) installed properly. it goes underneath the other snap ring (which has no holes in it)

who's doing your water pump and where was it purchased? 125 is the cheapest I've seen them go for. Make sure they didn't get one for the FWD SR20DE. It won't work.

If you mean that when you pull up on the shifter it comes out of the transmission, you are missing a retaining clip. If you mean that when you drive, a slight pull on the shifter will cause it to pop out of gear, that means the shift collars and dogs in your transmission are excessivly worn.

Retaining clip is that for the sr20det transmission also, cause i was told that it doesn't have one. if it dows any idea where i can get one from.

As far as I know, same shifter design. Go to a wrecker and get one from them. El-cheapo.

The people who supplied you the transmission should also damn well know what it needs and should be able to provide help.

if you can;t find one in a salvage yard, a dealership should be able to land you one. It was used in just about every RWD nissan of the time.
