Car: 1993 Nissan 240SXs, (Coupe and Convertible) 1994 Infiniti Q45

Most people have problems with their shifter not staying in 5th gear, however my 240SX is a little difficult to take out of 5th gear after a trip of more than 30 miles. I dont have this trouble driving around town. Any ideas? Thanks.

how does the shifter "feel" when moving it around especially when in any gear. does it feel loose? if so you might wanna pop the shifter out of the trans and see if the ball socket bushing is in tact and not missing.
