Shifter staying in 5th gear

Most people have problems with their shifter not staying in 5th gear, however my 240SX is a little difficult to take out of 5th gear after a trip of more than 30 miles. I dont have this trouble driving around town. Any ideas? Thanks.

mine does that too. If it doesn't come out of gear easily I clutch in again and that normally frees it up again. I suspect my clutch operating system needs an overhaul and clutching twice pumps up the weak system. You may want to try overhauling the system if it has never been done and the car is a little long in the tooth.
