I have a 1990 240sx SE with a redtop swap. when I got the car I noticed some slop in the shifter. So what I figured it was was the bushing that goes on the bottom of the shifter. After replacing the bushing the slop was still there. what else could cause this? Also I noticed transmission fluid on the shifter and around the square box leaking from what seamed to be where the shifter goes into the transmission. when I took it apart there was a rubber boot around the shifter, then a snap ring, a plastic ring, and then the bottom bushing. am I missing a seal or something? or could one of the other parts worn out?

Thanks,

Jeremy

ya the stock shifter is slop heaven, B&M makes it feel like a nice high ends sports car transmission.
