I put the shifter in a couple days ago and got all the locking rings etc... back on so it wouldnt pull back out. After i put it in i went through the gears to make sure everything was ok.

It goes through all the gears but theres alot of play in each gear.I dont know if its b/c theres is no transmission fluid in it b/c i just swapped it but i dont remeber it being this loose when i swapped it the first time.

So my question is:Is there a problem or is this normal untill you put fluid in or is somthing wrong? The car was fine before i pulled the engine from my hatch.

Thanks in advance guys.

the one for my rb20 was the same as a 240sx one...I assume a Z32 one will work for the rb25.
