ok, sigh another problem, my s14 rb25det with tophat mounts, has the shifter slightly to the passenger side, it CANNOT move since trans is against the trans xmember, and xmember is slotted but its on both outside parts (so slots do nothing) i could slot it more but i mean wtf i paid liek 330 bux so i would not have to **** with it

how far is it off?

its kinda important for driveshaft angles. so you dont get a ridiculous vibration at speed.

its like less than a quarter inch biased towards passenger side, its ridiclous, the trans BARELY fits in the xmember i took pics but my camera is a bigger pos than mr hankey idk wut to do, if i make the slots longer i think it will effect intergrity of the xmember, but speedsensor is against the trans tunnel wall on one side, and trans is against xmember on the other side

like kamin said; if it angle, your driveshaft will vibrate for being off center; maybe you can push the transmission tail end torward the other way then tighten it up again

nope trust me, motor it stuck on one side against trans xmemebr and other side speed sensor is on transtunnel wall, Itis slotted but the bolts are on the outside of the slots on both sides so it cant move it, if i could move the xmember i could move the trans but i cant and on top of that if i widen the slots i think it will be toooo close to edge of xmember its STUPID i took pics liek i said but that suck

Your photo no workie.

1/4" will give you vibration for sure. Especially if the speed sensor is touching the transmission tunnel.

Did you "clearance" the firewall so it would go in straight?

I had to hack the $hit out of my tophat transmission mount holes to get it to even come close to fitting. Such junk. I'm actually considering rebuying mounts from McKinney or Syko, or pulling the tophat mounts to have them beefed up and repainted.

Ive got Mckinney mount and they line up great. There exspesive but its worth it.All me and my dad did to center it up was he was under the car and i tried to measure it up top to get it as close as possible and he just took a crowbar and moved it over and tighted it up.It took all of 2 min.just my 0.02.

Yo that Green plug is where the knock sensors are supposed to go. There should be another one further back (toward the firewall) on the motor too.

Since your Haltech can't run the Knock sensors why don't you pick up one of those Techtom knock readers.

i have mckinney mounts and my shifter is slightly towards the passenger side also but it was because the engine was slightly tilted towards the passenger side so i had to use a shim to level the engine out to get the shifter to move towards the center more but its still not 100% in the center but the driveshaft angle is where its supposed to be and i never had any bad vibrations up to 160mph+, so you might have to shim the motor mounts and make sure the oil pan is level with your cross member.

now you see, even mckinney's mount are not flawless. it's killing me people raving about them like they are out of gold.
