dam stock shifter knob , how can i get it off?

Vise Grips....seriously! It'll take everything you got, and when you feel like its gonna break off just turn harder...its a PITA!!!

Yeah, there's a thread with all kinds of helpful hints in the 240 general section. Most of them involve some type of clamping and extension. If you plan on needing to re-use or sell your existing shifter knob, then wrap it in a t-shirt or something.

Stop being a pansy and unscrew it.

Like the other guys said, get an old t-shirt or something and go to it with vice grips. The first time is always the worst. Once you break free the sealant it's all good.

ive never met a shiftknob i couldnt unscrew, S13s and all. and im no sculpted wall of cement either. use both hands it will come off.

You'd be bending metal before you're twisting the whole shifter. Just give it all ya got.

thats good to kno, i mean i could twist the f ucker, but it felt like i was gonna break sumn so i jus stopped
