Shifter indicator lights

I'm new to the site and to Infiniti's. Just picked up a 05 G35 with 16K miles and it's loaded. NAV, BOSE for 19K

One thing that is annoying is the shifter indicator lights. They are just about visible even at night. Is this the way it is or do I maybe have a bulb burnout?

Have you tried adjusting the backlight? There's an adjuster near your left knee. You can adjust the lighting from their.

if your talking about the PRND by where u shift, those buttons that look like they should light up those don't light up..it indicates what gear ur in only on the dash

That did it, never knew that adjuster was there.
