Ok, here's the deal.

I've got an obx short shifter, been in the car for about a year.

It doesn't feel "crisp" if that makes any sense. In gear it has some play back and forth and side to side. Anyone know what causes this, or any way to fix it? It's been a while since I installed it and I can't remember if there was a rubber bushing the shifter sat in like some other cars I've seen.

The issue became clearer after driving several of my friends cars and seeing how much tighter the shifter felt.

Thanks for any input guys.

shifter bushings..install new ones...no idea about cost or how hard to install..but i know the car will run forever without them(mine will go from 1st to 5th range when it's in 3 gear..crazy stuff)....and it's been like that for 20k now-
