RE: 93 240 SX SE:

I have a question about the plastic (Nylon?) bushing attached to the bottom of the shifter, the small one that actually moves the transmission rails. The OBX short shifter I installed had a smaller diameter bushing than the one on my stock shifter. I installed it this way thinking maybe the change in the fulcrum point needed it but, it has too much play to be correct. Two Nissan dealers claimed they couldn't provide an OEM bushing.I could probably remove the one from the stock shifter but I'd prefer to source a new on if possible. I did a search on short shifters and read all I could but didn't see any references to this part. Anyone got a source or Nissan P.N.Thanks - PB

MY OTHER transmission, NOT THE SX transmission!:

a guy in http://nicoclub.com/forums/sho...ber=4 mentions that the part number is 32861-H7301. ask your dealership about that.

let me know how it goes

FYI my B&M short shifter bushing was much more solidly attached to the ball at the bottom of the shifter then the stock one. Made for little to no play, a huge difference compared to the stock shifter.

Also, the bushing fit exactly in there, no excess room at all. It was actually hard to get in because if I would tap it even a tiny tiny bit out of verticle, it wouldn't go in.

I would call OBX.

Nisssan had no trouble for @$3 obtaining bushing with the part # you gave me. The OBX short shifter feels tight as a *Z#$% . I suspect used e-bay shifter had worn bearing not undersize as I originally thought. Old bushing was nowhere to be found on dis-assembly , probably now is part of transmission sauce. Thanx - PB
