I have an 03 G35 Sedan and here is my issue. When I put the car in reverse a fuse blows. At this point the car still runs but when in drive it feels as though it is in 4th gear as there is no power till you get going to around 80 km or 50 mph. As soon as I turn the car off it won't start until the fuse is changed. The fuse that blows is a 10 amp located in the fuse box behind the battery against the fire wall. It is the first one top left hand side not sure what it is labeled. My mechanic won't get into the transmission as he doesn't know what it could be . The car is outside warranty. Any suggestions as to what it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

yikes...not sure why a fuse would blow. You might need to have the dealer look at it.

That's never good...what fuse?

There is only one thing that will blow a fuse a short to ground. If reverse (and the lights) are suspect the entire circuit will require inspection. The most common cause for this tends to be body repair at some point in the cars life span.
