shift rubber boot thingy

There is a small rubber boot thing that connects the shifter into the transmission. im not talking about the cosmetic rubber boot that bolts to the chassis. there is another underneath that. mine is split. i don't know what it's called to try and find a new one. i dont know if it is a universal thing that i can get new from the auto parts store..... if you know please enlighten me thanks in advance. and if by chance you have one for sale....even better lol.Josh

It's also referred to as a boot, I had to buy one on my last 240 as it was torn and fluid smell was coming up into cabin. I hit up the nissan dealer and asked them , he printed me a diagram to show me on spot. You can use zip ties to hold it in place after installed.http://home.comcast.net/~kfl007/boot.jpg

Same thing I did. The local parts shops did not carry that part nor would they order it. You'll probably going to have to go to the Nissan dealership and order it. Cost about $12.

thank you very much. ill head up there tomorrow. i didn't think about going to the dealer cause its usually insane to buy **** form them. but that will make things easier. thanks again
