hay folks..ran into a little idea this weekend when workin on my project..

My seal that is a boot over the shift plate was torn and cracking ..i went to my local dealer and to no suprize he quotes me $80.bucks for a new one..as i was looking at said boot/seal i noticed it look'd close enough to a CVBOOT...so i tryed it out...i have posted a kinda how to and whith wat i used on my myspace in my pictures section..i allso show how to make a homemade gasket ( for those who are new to cars) .. not only is it a cheep fix...but it looks way clean too!..hope this helps someone.

$80 is ridiculous, I wonder what part they were looking at. lol

Edit:Though after looking at your pics, that does look pretty good!
